About LG VRF Technology

Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) is a technology introduced as a system to minimize efficiency losses found in conventional HVAC systems and provide sustainable energy benefits. An air source LG VRF system is engineered to minimize or use no ductwork as a saving, save on the cost of large distribution fans, multiple water pumps operation and water piping. Energy efficient and easy to design, install, and maintain, a VRF system has the lowest life cycle cost of any system on the market today.

Why LG VRF?

LG VRF systems have the lowest life cycle cost of any system on the market today. LG has invested in multiple LG academies to educate on the benefits of VRF technology. The benefits are numerous, modern style cassettes with mirrors for interior designers, less piping for contractors and energy efficiency for engineers. LG has industry leading tested sound levels, LG manufactures all components within the VRF system even the reliable proven scroll compressor. LG will continue to invest in technologies which benefit our customers in achieving sustainable designs.

Benefits of the LG Multi V III

  • LG Inverter Scroll
  • Rapid Start Cooling
  • AHRI 1230 Certification
  • Compact
  • Longer Piping Distances
  • Enhanced Energy Efficiency
  • Lower Operational Costs
  • Minimal or No Duct Work to Install
  • Individual Zoning

LG Multi V III heat pump systems provide heating or cooling to individual zones, providing a level of control for tenant comfort in their individual space.  The owner saves on boiler size reduction.

LG Multi V III heat recovery systems permit synchronous cooling and heating in different zones at the same time.  The benefit of zoning for heating and cooling at the same time provides the ultimate in VRF technology, moving heat from one zone to another

An LG Multi V Mini is available for smaller residential applications.  Multi V Mini is a two pipe heat pump system that is available in capacities of 3.2 and 4 tons. This system is best suited for applications with up to 8 zones that require either heating or cooling with indoor units totaling up to 5.2 tons of capacity, such as residences, small office buildings, and isolated areas of buildings or campuses. Multi V Mini outdoor units are available in 208/230V single phase.

Multi V III Accreditation

  • Uses DOE-2.1E simulation engine from U.S. Department of Energy
  • Approved by the California Energy Commission
  • Accepted by USGBC for use with LEED certification
  • Incorporates ASHRAE based load calculations
